Yo all, I be Rich Currenly working out of the Phoenix garage on the 76 124 spider. she's in great shape just need some body work on the bonnet. bone stock (less the dry cell battery) original 30,000 on her, car is in the family and it's looking like I'm the only one who as the time and or knowlege to turn wrenches one this kitten.

Any Idea on getting on of those hoods with the little scoops and lights?
Anybody got a hazard switch bezel?

hey, rich. (again)..

are you looking for that little rectangular chromed plastic part that goes around the switch itself, or the radio speaker cover that goes on the face of the console?

If you do a search under abarth or abarth head lights, you will eventually cme accross the plastic hood toppers for the Abarth lights you're looking for. I too was going to go for this look untill I finally found those auxiliary light housings. About 250.00 each or something like that. Better bet is to put light relays in and then you will have the extra light wires to hook up some additional lighting inside the grill. Good Luck!

I think it's fascinating, to say the least, that every time this topic comes-up, people steer the new poster to GMR. and then somebody else posts up about how the stuff is just too dang expensive. :? with the weak exchange of the dollar right now, PLUS international shipping, the stuff is GOING TO BE EXPENSIVE!!!

And yet: when I post up that I am planning to build Abarth-style stuff, for me, out of C/F and F-glass, and that I could make it available to others for something close to HALF the cost of what is currently available to us here in the USA, the idea gets dismissed: "why would you do it when it's already available?" or "there's not really any interest in that here".....

with very few exceptions, of course.

just bizarre to me.

"MAYTAG" I got yo back and then some ($$$) you got the time, the tech, the materials for molds. Lets do this, I'm a dirt man ( they always look better in mud) and I just got my first european rear wheel drive chic but soon enough she'll be my bitch ( as in a dog [greyhound] in heat). I would love to rock the first US composite boby kits. I'm guessing you have acces to all the panels/moldings needed? if not let me know I can more then happily send you mine.

Maytag, when you get yours done, I'd like to see it. One of these days, I'd like to make my 71 into an Abarth replica and that hood would be awesome.

I'm actually arranging a little trade with ROOK1 for a straight, small-bump hood, as I learned late that mine is bent. (that's why the body lines are so uneven)
Once I get that, I'll get the mold done. I intend to create several molds, in stages, as molds are easy / cheap to make. (though harder to store  ) the first would be stock. Second would be an Abarth Stradale type hood, with the louvered vents in the upper corners of the hood. Next would come a "hood-scoop" version of the hood, similar in idea to this: Image

the little 'pods' for lights can come at any time.
