You can check also:http://t124.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5591&p=48844&hilit=timing+generator#p48844
The only thing weird is that the advance don't go up past 4000RPM and the megamanual said that your advance have to increase with the RPM.

Thanks for the link, I'll check that out for sure.

I'll have to get a copy of the MegaManual. Is there a main location to download from?

Two days ago I decide to load the latest firmwire to try to resolve a wideband issue. I had a choice between 3.4.2 or 3.4.3beta. Why not the latest version even if it's still under developpement  Today I decide to try the ignition table from Wildman so I import is table and when I switch the car off, the car won't start and tunerstudio stay offline and a message said no firmwire was install. That's when I realize that with the key in my hand, my electronic cluster and my innovate wideband are still on. First impress was the ignition switch but when I unplug the megasquirt, everything turn off. WTF...no megasquirt and no running car... So I remove the megasquirt, plug it to the stim and everything was ok but I decide to put 3.4.2 firwire just in case lollll!!!!! Put everything back and the car run not tuned but it run.
It's my second Bosch oxygen sensor 4.2 with MTX-l Innovate. I now order the new 4.9 and until then, I have to keep quiet. Other person with that problem with Innnovate MTX-L??? And what wideband do you use?

I'm also using the MTX-L and I've burned up a Bosch sensor too. I had to get the adapter bung to keep the exhaust heat from killing another 02 sensor. I don't recall which sensor I bought to replace my dead one, only that it was listed on DIYautotune.com as a direct replacement to the MTX-L.

The Innovate MTX-L came highly recommended but when searching online I found many posts where people said it isn't the quality unit that it used to be. Frustrating to say the least.

You probably have the 4.2 since the 4.9 is new and suppose to be better. I'll see but it's the last one with Innovate.
My sensor is about 36 inches from the turbo (after the curve that go strait to the catalyst converter.) and add a copper heat sink.

Hi Orford,

I have the Innovative LC1 with a 4.2. it has been finicky the whole time I have had it. It would randomly fail to full lean and I would have to power off to reset. It has now permanently died.

My next wide band will be a 14point7.com Spartan 2 unit. Reasonable price and very good reviews. He is fairly close to you.

I should go Thursday to pick up my sensor and start tuning.
Burgandy81, can you post your timing table?

Hi John,

Yes, I will try to get a screen shot of my current timing table tomorrow. It is not very interesting, basically I tried to replicate an aggressive mechanical advance where I am all in @36° around 2500 RPM. I also have a 'vacuum advance' section with 10° advance at low RPM and high vacuum.

Can you make sense of the Lancia chart on the bottom of the first page of this thread? I thought that I understood it but the table I generated did not make any sense. Any thoughts? I am very interested in this as it is Lancia ignition map for a similar engine.

The graph in first page are useless. It's RPM related to advance. Each graph have delta P witch is the variation in MAP. So the first graph is for 8KPA difference and the last one a difference of 56KPA. The faster you hit your gas, the bigger will be your MAP.

Bosch 4.9 last 2 days...... This morning it was stuck to 22.4. Try to recalibrate and got E8 code(bad sensor). Try to reset calibration with the cable and was able to recalibrate and have 22.4 reading. But as soon as I turn the switch off and back on, I can see heater and after that E8
So before leaving a bad report on ebay for that sensor, I will order the 14point7 spartan2 and gauge at the cost of $130 delivered to my door. If the sensor is still bad, I will contact the seller.

Look like I will not have a wideband this weekend. Also no news from Innovate after leaving them a message.
