Mystery wheel

Postby zachmac » Mon Jan 01, 2018 4:04 pm

Can anyone tell me what car this might be for? I got it as part of what I thought was a set of four old Spider steelies, BUT, this one is actually different. First clue was the distance between the hubcap retainer stubs. The Spider wheels are about 9" where as this one is just over 8 so a standard Spider hubcap doesn't fit *hubcap is clearly smaller that fits this wheel) . The second clue was when I tried to mount it and although the bolt pattern is correct it is shallower on the back side and scrapes the caliper so clearly designed for a car with a smaller caliper? It is a 13 inch wheel of the same total width but clearly a different offset. X1/9 maybe? Anyone know? I have one nicely bead blasted and painted that I have no use for. :D

It looks a lot like a 105 series Alfa Romeo rim?

It may looks like an Alfa wheel but it also looks exactly like the Fiat wheel until you look closely at measurements. Strange that unlike the Fiat wheels this one has no markings of any kind anywhere on it.
