I'm gutting the car to get ready for repairs and cane across some rust in this area, does anyone know where to find a replacement patch or anything to do about it?

I don't know of any, but look in your trunk because that damage is most likely from your battery box .

You may want to see if one of the suppliers of panels will make it for you:

You need to check closely the metal around the attachment points for the upper and lower trailing arms. With that much visable rust I'm betting the metal under the back crossmember/seat support is eaten up. When water gets under the crossmember it gets trapped there. Check the metal with an ice pick or small screwdriver. If the icepick or screwdriver goes through the metal like a sheet of paper, you have a lot of work to do. You don't want to have the rear end tear free from the car in a curve or during hard breaking!

This is what I found under my crossbrace:

It's pretty bad, luckily we found a donor car at a yard that is honestly in better condition than mine, crap part is that it only has a salvage title and they wouldn't sell the whole car. We asked the owner how much of the car he would be willing to sell us and basically we are going out to pick up the entire back end of the car, everything from the windshield back. It's made the project much more doable and a friend of mine that knows how to properly do this kind of work is teaching me what needs to be done and is willing to help out. I want to thank everyone for the help you have all given me over the last few months, and if you are curious about seeing more pictures, updates, videos, and so forth you can at my website. http://www.beers4fearsmotorsports.com I haven't updated it in a while but I plan to give regular updates going forward.
