Anyone out there know what car this is? That's my Dad building our garage in 1958.

Wow! Maybe so. It does look British - not American for sure.

Don't think so. Look at the belt line molding - it goes too far back above the rear fender. The Riley's stops at the top edge of the fender, like the one in your picture.

You're right, I see that. Then again, I see a difference in the shape of the Rileys rear fender. Don't know, it could be a different year or model.

the top shape around the side glass, wheel well line and rear bumper don't match either car.

I believe you're right - Jaguar Mk V. That was my first thought but couldn't find one without rear fender skirts to confirm the line of the fender. But the double bumper design is a clincher.

The front fender sweep to running boards is quite different.

Similar bumper, handle on the boot, and if you look closely there appears to be a lock for the gas lid. Rear glass still doesn't look quite right, but that may be the angle of the picture. The Jag looks close though.

I am just wondering if you take the original photo and zoom in can you find a logo or name on the hub cap?
