Flush Radiator

Postby ylbill » Fri Aug 18, 2017 12:43 pm

I'm about to replace fan switch and flush my radiator with vinegar. Is it necessary to flush with Prestone flush after flushing with vinegar?

Thanks

I hope not...I just used a garden hose in the top for 10 minutes and through the bottom for 10 minutes. Coupled with a lot of shaking in between :)

No, I just did a vinegar flush an was suprised at how much stuff came out. I used half vinegar and half water and flushed real good with the garden hose. It runs 5 degrees cooler now and doesn't heat up a much when I come to stoplights.
