2 blue black and a blue extra

Postby MarcusFedler » Sun Mar 04, 2018 1:37 pm

So I'm diagnosing a red hot pink wire and I believe the ground wire off the same circuit to my idle stop solenoid on my Weber carb. As I follow the wire out of the harness from the fire wall I find 2 blue black and one blue wire not connected to anything and wire tied back into the harness. Anyone know what accessory those go to? I don't see it on the wiring diagram.

I'm assuming I either have a bad solenoid causing the short or the ground wire is faulty on the solenoid circuit. My intent is to splice into the pink and run a line to ground. Before when i turn key on it would light up red hot. I assume internal resistance since that wire is out of the harness and exposed to a hot engine compartment. When I reconnect my hope is that the solenoid is fine. But a new one is around 40. So might just replace it too be sure. Thoughts?
