Front sway bushings

I need to change out the bushings on my stock front sway bar. Question: Is it under any sort of tension or weight as the car sits? Any special jacking I need to do to remove it or will jacking put pressure/weight on it? It looks pretty straight forward, just a couple bolts on the brackets and it looks like it'll come right off. But sometimes, what I sees ain't always what I gets.

No it is not under tension unless you jack up only one side, so jack up both sides and you will be fine.

Thanks. SInce I posted this, I've been reading about having to drill out the brackets. Mine are bolted, at least the ones on each end, and are pretty easy to access and loosen/tighten as I've done so when the old bushing tend to slip out. Am I missing something?

The inside bushings are rivited together, you will have to drill them and replace with bolts. I did this a couple months ago and the only trouble was remounting the bar. It does have tension on it but it was not that hard to install. I used a floor jack and a few grunts and all was good.
