seems i could not get a alignment because the arm was bad. i have another one, but i do not want to put it on with out some way of checking it

how can u check if the idler arm has play in it or bad when it is off the car?
seems i could not get a alignment because the arm was bad. i have another one, but i do not want to put it on with out some way of checking it
