Washington DC "Raduno Primavera"

Approximately 45 cars and 75 people showed up for this year's Italian Car Drive in the Virginia countryside. After iffy weather all week, Sunday arrived clear and dry. The Ferrari and Maserati clubs got into a hissy fit a few months ago over sponsorship, and the event was moved from the DC Ferrari dealership to a local vineyard.

One member lives near the winery, and photographed each car as it arrived. He then printed the pictures, and gave each driver a keepsake photo before the drive began. What a nice touch! All pre-registered participants also received a $15 IAP gift certificate.

The drive ended in Thurmont, MD and everybody enjoyed a huge buffet lunch in a private dining room at the Cozy Inn, a legendary stop for most gearheads on their way to Carlisle, PA for the many national shows and auctions held there throughout the year. Door prizes, "People's Chioce" awards and lively conversation filled the hall all afternoon.
